See a resemblance?

Weird.  I JUST found out that Joe Hill is Stephen King’s kid.  How did I not know this?

I’ve been reading Joe Hill for years – I found an issue of Locke & Key at a local comic shop (Emerald City Comics) when I was looking for any Sandman issues I might have missed.  I have all six issues of  Welcome To Lovecraft (though none are from the first printing, dagnabbit), 5 of the 6 issues of  Head Games (missing Army of One – anyone want to help me out with that?) and all of Crown of Shadows. Haven’t gotten around to Keys to the Kingdom yet.  Guess I’d better hurry, eh?  Series is scheduled to release the very last issue in a week…

I’ve read Joe Hill’s first novel, Heart Shaped Box, and just got his second, Horns. I’m waiting on a signed bookplate for it, a reward for pre-ordering.  Oh yeah – btw – Could ya hurry up with that, Joe?  Mebbe?

I’ve read brief bios here and there; I follow him on Twitter, as I do all my favorite novelists  and comic book authors and illustrators.  But for some unknown reason, I have never looked him up on Wikipedia.

Now let me explain something here:  I have a very ambivilant relationship with the  ‘pedia.  It is frequently incorrect.  It is frequently self-serving.  Sometimes it’s so-called ‘primary’ sources are nothing but loop-backs to the self-same article.  It is downright DANGEROUS in the hands of crappy researchers.  Having said this, I still feel compelled to admit that I consult Wikipedia for EVERY-FRACKING-THING.  As a starting point,  mind you.  And I submit corrections and cite references when I can. I am, as you may have determined, a compulsive researcher.  I have to KNOW.

But I did not know that Joe Hill is Stephen King’s second son.

Joe's Daddy

Does it matter?  No.

Does it change the way I feel about his writing? Not a bit.

I just feel like I walked out of a public restroom with my dress tucked in to my panties, and didn’t notice until I sat down in the back of the bus.

I can't belief this actually came up in a google image search. Try it yourself! Clicky the piccy

I’m a little busy right now – can you just send me a text?

And that is my tiger xing sign, my towel, my kitty stickers, and my office door. With sticky chalkboard square, but no chalk, cause I don't read the messages anyway.
